Workshops in Portobello with Jenny Lindsay

Have you wanted to perform your work to a live audience? To learn how to write the poems that use sound, rhythm and rhyme to connect with people? To stop shaking and sweating at the mic? To work with a professional performance poet?

Portobello Library and Inky Fingers are delivering a series of spoken word workshops on: Tuesday 30 April, Tuesday 14 May, Tuesday 28 May (6 – 8pm).

To book a place on the workshops, email inkyfingersedinburgh@gmail.com, with the subject line ‘Portobello Workshops’, by Friday 26th April and including your postcode (these workshops are open to Portobello residents only). Alternatively, leave your name and contact details with the Library.

The cost for the three workshops will be £6. We ask that you are able to attend all 3. Please note that participants must be resident in Portobello.

The workshops will be led by professional performance poet & winner of the 2012 BBC Fringe Festival Slam, Jenny Lindsay. Jenny has over 10 years of performing experience, and has run events in Edinburgh such as Big Word, Is This Poetry? and Rally & Broad, Edinburgh’s newest literary cabaret. Don’t miss this amazing opportunity to work with her in your local library!
